EVerify Requirement effective June 1, 2011...

RMS ADMINISTRATORS,

 

On June 1, 2011, the E-Verify notice was added to the RMS. This notice applies to all job vacancies posted on the RMS.  If your agency posts jobs on its employment web page that are not posted on the RMS,  the E-Verify statement should be added to web page.

The following is the notice as it appears on the RMS:

E-Verify Notice: After accepting employment, new hires are required to complete an I-9 form and present documentation of their identity and eligibility to work in the United States. Effective June 1, 2011, agencies in the Commonwealth of Virginia's Executive Branch will use the E-Verify system to confirm identity and work authorization.

The Human Resources Department of Southside Virginia Community College serves two campuses, the Christanna (Alberta) campus and the John H. Daniel (Keysville) campus, as well as off-campus sites in Blackstone, Chase City, Cumberland, South Hill, South Boston, and Emporia.
