E-mail Information
Every SVCC student has a VCCS e-mail address. VCCS student e-mail accounts are accessed via MySVCC, just like the Student Information System (SIS) and Blackboard. For information regarding your MySVCC account please click HERE.
When e-mailing your instructor, it is always important to be clear, concise and professional. Follow the guidelines below to get the most out of e-mail interaction with your instructor.
1. Always use your VCCS student e-mail account. Using personal e-mail accounts, such as Yahoo or Hotmail, may be considered SPAM and deleted by your instructor.
2. Subject lines are very important because it is the first thing your instructor will see when checking his or her e-mail.
Subject lines to your instructors should contain the class name and section number. Example: BIO101-02
3. Always keep your e-mails short and to the point. Be very clear and specific about the problem or question you have.
4. Always include your name at the bottom of your e-mail.
