MySVCC Passwords

Password

You must have a password to access SVCC Online.   A new password policy has been implemented and required that users change their password.  New passwords are no longer allowed to remain as the date of birth.

Password Requirements

• Length of 7 but no more than 10
• contain at least one UPPERCASE letter
• contain at least one lowercase letter
• contain at least one number (0-9)

New students to VCCS

1. You need to click the New to your College?  Lookup your username and set your password link.
2. Enter the required information.  Your first and last name must match your official records with our Admissions and Records office.  Your date of birth must be in MMDDYY format.  For example if your date of birth was January 1, 1980, then you would enter 010180.  Enter your SSN must match the social security number you provided to our Admissions and Records office.  Enter it with no spaces or dashes. 
3. Click the "Search" button. 
4. Follow password creation steps.

Changing your Password

1. You need to log in to SVCC with your current username and password. 
2. Click on "Change my password" under My Tools. 
3. Follow Step 1 of 2 to Set a new password.  You are prompted to enter your current and new password.  You must enter your current password.  Click in the next box to enter your new password.  Then click in the next box, you must verify the new password again. 
4. Follow Step 2 of 2 to Set a Security Question.  You will be prompted to select and provide an answer to one of the security questions.  You may select one of the security questions provided or make up your own.  You must also provide the answer to the security question below.  You should remember this question and answer so that if you forget your password, you can reset it using this feature.
5. Click the "Next" Button.
6. You will be provided with screen explaining the password. 

Password Creation Steps

  Step 1 of 2:  Set a new password

You are prompted to enter a new password and to verify the entry.

1. Click in the box to enter your new password. 
2. Then click in the next box, you must verify the new password again. 

  Step 2 of 2:  Set a Security Question

You will be prompted to select and provide an answer to one of the security questions.  You should remember this question and answer so that if you forget your password, you can reset it using this feature.

1. You may select one of the security questions provided or make up your own. 
2. You must also provide the answer to the security question below. 

  Click the Next Button.

  You will be provided with screen explaining the password. 

Resetting your password

1. You need to click the I cannot access my account link.
2. Click the My password does not work link.
3. Reset your password link.
4. You are strongly encourged to not share your password with anyone.
