Winners in the 'African American History Month' Contest

More than 300 students, faculty, and staff participated in the Question of the Day Student Activity. This was part of our celebration of African American Heritage.

winners Everyone was given the opportunity to answer a question about African American History. Each correct answer was submitted for a daily drawing and a grand prize drawing held at the end of the month.

Terrell Street (left) was our first place winner and won a Portable DVD Player. The second place winner was Kandra Coleman (right) and she won a digital camera. Additional grand prize drawing winners include: Sandra Bacon, Ben White, Shakeita Gayles-Colbert, Debbie Jackson, Annekia Booker, Josh Messarge, Brandon Doswell, Faith Pinto, Jonathan Woods, and Christie Hales. These winners won money, gift certificates or an SVCC t-shirt.
