Jamie Jones Joins PR Staff at SVCC
Southside Virginia Community College and Christie Hales, Public Relations Director, proudly announce the addition of Jamie Jones as Public Relations and Marketing Specialist.
 Before coming to SVCC, he was employed as an Account Executive for The Roanoke Times newspaper for almost five years. He also worked as an Account Executive for The South Hill Enterprise from 2006-2007.
A graduate of Park View High School, Jones received an Associate degree from SVCC and transferred to Virginia Tech where he earned a Bachelor degree in Communications.
“When I chose to attend SVCC after high school, I feel it was one the smartest choices I have ever made. Not only did I save myself and my parents’ money, but I also had a year to mature before moving away to a larger school. I am happy to be back at SVCC in my new role and I want to make sure local students know that this college is a great starting place for their futures,” he said.
Jones is from Brodnax, VA and is the son of Tommy and Vicki Jones also of Brodnax.
He enjoys traveling, attending Virginia Tech sporting events, relaxing at the lake and spending time with his wonderful girlfriend.
