Mary Abernathy of Blackstone, VA is the recipient of the award. Ms. Abernathy plans to continue her education thru SVCC’s PN program and then on to Southside’s RN program. When asked for advice for other students, Ms. Abernathy confidently stated “You are capable of doing a lot more than you think!”
