SVCC Has Transfer-Ability
For many students, Southside Virginia Community College is the stepping stone to furthering their education. SVCC has transfer agreements with more than 20 colleges in Virginia and is a great place for people to get the first two years of a four year degree.

On the Christanna Campus in Alberta, students interested in transferring are given assistance through the Transfer Club. Activities include visits to other colleges and information and support in their efforts to continue their education.
Zachary Taylor from South Hill is among the SVCC students transferring this fall. He has been accepted to University of Virginia, Longwood University, and The College of William & Mary and has chosen to transfer to The College of William & Mary.
Transfer Counselor and Club advisor Bernadette Battle said, “We encourage our students to share their transfer accomplishments on the college’s transfer bulletin board which is currently filled with all the places our students will be going.”
