Technology Workshops

Do you want to learn how to use a computer? Perhaps you are a computer user but you are not familiar with many of the fun new applications.  Do you envy that young person you see taking a picture with their IPhone and immediately uploading it to their Facebook page?

men at a computerTechnology is changing every day and  in this fast-paced technology driven world, it is sometimes difficult to keep up with all of the new applications. Lake Country Advanced Knowledge Center is offering a series of technology workshops so that you can  update your technology skills as well as learn the fun applications that can benefit you in your personal life.  Several noncredit workshops will be offered and anyone from the beginning computer user to the advanced computer user will benefit from the  trainings. 

The Technology Learning Series workshops will be offered on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m.  at a cost of $19.00 for each workshop and this amount would be paid on the day of the workshop. 

Beginning Computers
January 14, 2012, 9am-4pm
Instructor:  Sandra Nemeth
This class is for beginners who want to learn the basics of computers and email.

Apple Media Geek
January 21, 2012, 9am-4pm
Instructor:  Zeb Elliott
Discover new applications for the IPad  and IPhone.  Students will bring their own devices to class.

Introduction to Office 2010
February 18, 2012, 9am-4pm
Instructor:  Wendy Ezell
Take a look at Microsoft Office 2010 and learn how to create documents using this software.

Google Docs
March 10, 2012, 9am-4pm
Instructor: Remona Tomko
Create a gmail email account and learn how to use free spreadsheets, web pages, word processing, etc. through Google Docs.

Social Media
April 7, 2012, 9am-4pm
Instructor:  Natalie Coronas
Create Facebook pages as well as blogs and discover the fun side of social media.
