Service Recognition
Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for five or more years.
FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Those receiving their certificate and other recognition are (Front Row, Left to Right) Lois Hicks, Adminsitrative Assistant to Adult Ed and Middle College, Sally Tharrington, Director of Financial Aid, Christy Lowerey-Carter, Assistant Professor of Mathematics, Emily Nobin, Assistant Professor of Psychology, and (Back Row, L to R) Dave Canning, Building and Grounds, Mareka Peterson, Librarian, Leslie Cline, Instructor of Theater, Speech and Humanities, Connie Nichols, Adminstrative Assistant, and Kathy Pegram, Administrative Support, Adult Education Examiner. Those not pictured who received certificates are Tom Wisbey, Melissia Wood, Dawn Roberts and Ray Kopecky.
TEN YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virginia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty adn administration who have served the Commowealth of Virginia for ten years. Thos recognized are (Left to Right) Misty Smiley, Administrative and Program Specialist for Workforce and Continuing Ed, Leigh Moore, Associate Professor of Nursing and Joyce Sculthorpe, Buildings and Grounds. Detra Carr, Truck Driver Training Instructor, was also recognized for ten years of service.
FIFTEEN YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for 15 years. They are (Left to Right) Debbie Lewis, Bookstore Manager, Michael Stinson, Professor of Biology, and Debbie Campbell, Administration Program Specialist ll. Others receiving this award are Earl McDaniel and James Wilkerson.
TWENTY YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for twenty years. Teresa Hudson (solo picture) is a recipient of the 20 year award. She is Associate Professor of Mathematics.

TWENTY FIVE YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for 25 years. They are (Left to Right) Cindy Mason, Administrative Assistant to the Provost, Libby Blanton, Librarian, and Janett Alexander, Faculty Secretary.
THIRTY YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for thirty years. Debbie Jackson, Financial Aid Coordinator, is shown with her certificate for 30 years of service. Doug Whaley also was recognized for 30 years of service.
FORTY YEARS OF SERVICE:
 Southside Virgnia Community College recently recognized members of the staff, faculty and administration who have served the Commonweath of Virginia for 40 years. They are Anita White,(left) secretary for Workforce and Continuing Education, and Dr. Linda Sheffield, Vice President of Adult Education and Grants.
