College Day & Four Year College Tour Set
Area eleventh and twelfth-grade high school students and their parents are invited to attend “College Day” at Southside Virginia Community College’s Christanna Campus in Alberta on Wednesday, October 7, 2009, from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. This is the Regional College Day program for Brunswick, Mecklenburg, and parts of Lunenburg and Nottoway counties.
This year, College Day is being combined with the Four-Year College Tour. Second-year students and graduates of two-year college degree programs are also urged to attend. More than 50 colleges, universities and special schools will be represented.
Institutions that should be represented include Averett University, Bridgewater College, Bluefield College, Catawba College, Christopher Newport University, Cottey College, Chowan University, Coastal Carolina University, College of William and Mary, EDMC-The Art Institute, East Carolina University, ECPI Technical College, Emory & Henry College, Ferrum College, Glenville State College, George Mason University, Hampden-Sydney College, Hampton University, Hollins University, ITT Technical Institute, James Madison University, Johnson & Wales University, King College, Lees-McRae College, Liberty University, Longwood University, Louisburg College, Lynchburg College, Mary Baldwin College, Nashville Auto Diesel College, Norfolk State, North Carolina Wesleyan College, Old Dominion University, Radford University, Randolph College, Randolph-Macon College, Regent University, Richard Bland College, Roanoke College, Saint Augustine’s College, Saint Paul’s College, Shaw University, Shenandoah University, Southside Virginia Community College, Sweet Briar College, University of Mary Washington, University of Richmond, University of Virginia, The University of Virginia’s College at Wise, Virginia Commonwealth University, Virginia Intermont College, VMI, Virginia State University, Virginia Tech, and Virginia Wesleyan College.
