OSHA Course Offered

Southside Virginia Community College will be offering the OSHA 10 hour construction course starting in late October. Many contractors, painters and maintenance employees can become certified through OSHA by completing this course. 

This is a one credit course. Tuition cost (in-state tuition - You must qualify) is $95.20.  The course will cover an introduction to OSHA, electrical, fall protection, PPE and lifesaving, equipment, material handling, tools - hand and power, scaffold, cranes, excavation, stairways and ladders along with other topics.

The course will be offered on Saturdays, Oct. 31 and Nov. 7, from 8:30AM-5:00PM at the John J. Cavan Workforce Development Center, on the SVCC campus in Alberta. You must attend both days. It will also be offered on Fridays, Nov. 13 & 20, from 8:30AM-5:00PM, at the Lake Country Advanced Knowledge Center in South Hill.
