Wrenn Honored

Southside Virginia Community College recently hosted a luncheon in honor of J. Reid Wrenn who retired in 2001 after decades of leading one of America’s outstanding brick manufacturer’s, Lawrenceville Brick, Inc. 

Mr. Wrenn donated copies of his book, Brickmaking-Mudcakes to Skyscrapers, to the college. Writing the book was Wrenn’s way of helping people to understand the vital role brick played in benefitting mankind. 

During the luncheon, Wrenn told many stories about his career and dedication to the brick industry.  Accepting the books on behalf of the college is Dr. John J. Cavan, President, (Left) with Sarah (Center) and J. Reid Wrenn (Right).
