Office of Pregnant and Parenting Student Services (OPPSS)

Southside Virginia Community College in partnership with the Virginia Department of Health is offering a support service to pregnant women, expectant fathers, and parenting students. Our goal is to strengthen the academic achievement and success of actively enrolled pregnant and parenting students.
OPPSS will provide pregnant and parenting students:

Referrals to academic services and programs
-
Referrals and resources for health services
-
Referrals to social services and community resources
-
Resources for counseling and/or support services for domestic violence, sexual assault or stalking
-
Campus based workshops and activities such as parenting skills education, domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking awareness & prevention
